Lala’s Gorditas is coming to the South Side with a grand opening set for 6:45 p.m. on March 9.
The new restaurant, at 1600 Roosevelt Ave. near Mission Concepción, will be owned and operated by Chef Steven Pizzini. Musical acts Santiago Jimenez Jr. and Garrett T. Capps y Los Three Timers are slated to appear at the grand opening. A portion of the evening's proceeds will be donated to The San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind, which is near the restaurant.
