Long before they were paired up as leaders of the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, Ivan Gamboa and Joaquin Altoro were Milwaukee bankers seeking an initiative they could partner on.
Gamboa is chairman of WHEDA’s board since 2016 and an executive at Tri City National Bank in Milwaukee. Altoro, a key player in Town Bank’s expansion into the Milwaukee market, this month just took over as WHEDA’s executive director under an appointment by Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers.
