Hawaii Ag Foundation launches its first ‘Young Entrepreneurs’ program


In an effort to help cultivate the next generation of Hawaii's agriculture and food business leaders, as well as consumers, the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation launched its first-ever "Young Entrepreneurs" program for local youth earlier this year.

As part of the program, middle and high school culinary and ag classes across the state are trained by teachers to create a business plan surrounding a new product that utilizes locally sourced ingredients. Participating classes then get the opportunity…
