Over 2,000 healthcare positions open in Hawaii, state survey finds


There are over 2,200 open non-physician healthcare positions available in the Hawaiian Islands, according to the Hawaii Healthcare Workforce Initiative 2019 report, the first of its kind in the state.

The report, which was compiled via survey by researchers at the Healthcare Association of Hawaii, also found that the average health care organization in Hawaii needs 10% of their positions filled. Surveyed organizations said that open jobs could take anywhere between six months and a year to fill.…
