D.C. plans to tear down RFK Stadium by 2021


District officials plan to tear down Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium by fall 2021, ending the life of the 58-year-old facility and prompting new questions about the site’s future.

Events D.C., the District agency that manages the city's sports and entertainment venues, released a request for proposals Thursday for firms to assist the city in razing the stadium. The Washington Post first reported the move.
