Albemarle disclosed plans Tuesday to put the advanced lithium technology center in its backyard. Or, rather, University City, where the company plans to spend $180 million to $200 million on equipment and other improvements at an updated but empty 400,000-square-foot building formerly occupied by IBM and Flexential.
