Almost exactly five years after setting out to become a farmer, Christa Barfield has established a number of businesses and a nonprofit foundation to that end, the newest of which she will debut mid-year. Her Germantown-based Viva Leaf Tea Co. and FarmerJawn will undergo expansions in 2023, including by way of a new 123-acre lease for farmland at the Westtown School in West Chester.
In addition, Barfield expects to open her take on the corner store this June with two CornerJawn outposts.
