Publicly traded companies in the region collectively lost more than $186 billion in market value during a difficult year for the stock market in 2022.

A Business Journal analysis of market cap changes for 101 Greater Philadelphia public companies from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2022 found losses across all industries.
