UnitedHealth Group Inc. (NYSE: UNH) posted higher revenue and profits in the first quarter and raised its expectations for the full year, pointing to growth in the company's Medicare Advantage business and its Optum health-services subsidiary.
The health insurance giant reported revenue of $91.93 billion, up 15% from $80.15 billion in the same period a year ago. The results were higher than the average analyst estimate of $89.77 billion.
