This longtime hunting ranch could be turned into 14,000 homes in the coming years, as ABJ first revealed earlier this month. In this story, DMB Development CEO Brent Herrington discusses plans for what he termed a "new town" that would rise north of Austin, including a possible timeline and other uses for the land: "Williamson and Bell counties are poised for major economic development given the explosive employment growth on the north side of the Austin metro. We want to be part of an intelligent growth strategy for the area, not just the typical incremental sprawl of one-off subdivisions and strip malls."
