Austin City Council member wants to ‘punch through the ceiling’ with denser, taller buildings on north side


The transformation of North Austin is well underway but some City Council members think the region should become even denser and taller. Entitlements for 45-story towers around The Domain may not be enough. One is pushing for "increasing entitlements in all subdistricts … and creating opportunities modeled after our original downtown to punch through the ceiling and go even higher."
