Nashville health care chiefs concerned about health of the city — and care isn’t the sole answer


The average life expectancy in Tennessee is 75.6 years, ranking No. 46 in the nation, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. So how does Nashville make sure its residents are healthy so businesses can boom? Panelists at NashvilleHealth event lead by CEO Mark Yancy and former Sen. Bill Frist point to a holistic approach. “If we don’t improve health outcomes, I think our growth and prosperity are at risk," one panelist said.
