There’s a veterinarian shortage, and it’s a burden that falls on women now and will in the future, with female students dominating vet school classes and making up a dominant and growing number of practicing animal physicians.
The women who lead two of the 32 U.S. colleges of veterinary medicine are well aware of the challenge and are guiding their programs towards innovations that will help relieve some of the stress on the workforce they’re training.
