Atlanta seeks grant to ‘stitch’ Downtown with park above highway

The Stitch would create a three-fourth mile platform with a 14-acre park over the Downtown Connector from the Civic Center MARTA rail station to Piedmont Avenue. The city is pursuing $10.5 million worth of grant dollars to offset engineering costs.
