The Genesee Gateway building is getting its own ‘gateway.’

Coming early next month is The Gateway City Deli, which is replacing the just-closed Marco’s Italian Deli that opened two years ago.

Run by the husband and wife tandem of chef Jim and Sandra Carlo, the former COO with UBMD, The Gateway City Deli will feature hand crafted sandwiches, soups and salads — all named after Buffalo architectural and historical landmarks.

She may have started as a home cook, but Ayesha Curry's culinary prowess stretches from her first San Francisco restaurant to her own television program on the Food Network.

Wicked Taco, an eatery that got its start in Virginia and then entered the Triangle, plans to open a location in High Point in late July or early August at 2005 N. Main St., General Manager James Bakis told Triad Business Journal.

The taco restaurant is known for high quality meats, vegetables and corn tortillas, and also features a salsa bar with traditional Mexican salsas.

The restaurant has set up a Facebook page for the High Point location, with recent postings also indicating a summer opening…

The annual distribution is part of the group's efforts to give back to the local community.
