Martin Magana, chef at Tess, was the winner of $5,000 as part of YP Week Wisconsin's Food Prize event on April 26. Check out the attached slideshow to see photos from the unique event held at a downtown Milwaukee office building.

After being closed for several months, the historic Glendale establishment Silver Spring House is now reopen and its new owner plans to refocus the business as a restaurant where families can have a relaxing meal.

Fox Point native David Braeger has purchased the Silver Spring House, 6655 N. Green Bay Ave., after it closed in February and has spent the past several months giving the establishment a facelift. It held a soft opening this week and makes its official debut Monday.

Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will open his second Oahu restaurant next month at the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, called Momosan by Morimoto.

The restaurant is currently hiring ahead of its grand opening on May 8. It will specialize in ramen and small plates such as pork gyoza, yakitori and classic izakaya style rice dishes.

The eatery will be a more casual counterpart to Morimoto Asia, the hotel’s signature restaurant which opened in February.
