Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring more than 140 people for its planned Towson store, the second in Maryland.

The 30,000-square-foot store is under construction at 803 Goucher Road and is expected to open in July. The space was formerly occupied by hhgregg, the defunct electronics and appliance retailer.

Sprouts' Ellicott City store opened in March — the first for the Phoenix, Arizona-based Sprouts in the mid-Atlantic. It's planning a location in Philadelphia this year, as well.

Tampa, Florida-based Bloomin’ Brands Inc. (NASDAQ: BLMN) is bringing two Outback & Carrabba’s Express locations to Loudoun County — the first outside of Florida, based on the company’s website.
