A years-in-the-making distillery expansion is nearing its final stages.

Columbus’ oldest beer name is ready to be Columbus’ newest brewery and taproom.

Hoster Brewing Co. hopes to open at 653 N. James Road near John Glenn Columbus International Airport in June.

Dan Meyers, managing partner of the group that has owned the Hoster brand since 2004, said the timeline is contingent on wrapping up taproom construction and going through the city’s inspection process.

The newly renovated CFG Bank Arena will see around 60 concerts per year starting with Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band.

The company said the opening target is this summer. It also said it has another two Central Ohio locations lined up but couldn’t announce the exact sites yet.
