An upscale French restaurant on Newport’s Thames Street has made a national top-100 restaurants list by the reservation website OpenTable.

The state has depended upon in-migration for its economic growth and vitality for decades, but last year a lot more people left the state than moved in.

This fast-growing franchise has made its first foray into Central Florida.

The cost of sitting down to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal this year is slightly less this year, thanks in part to declining turkey prices.

The American Farm Bureau Federation released its 38th annual survey Wednesday that estimates the average cost of the classic holiday meal for 10. This year's price tag is $61.17 or less than $6.20 per person — a 4.5% decrease from last year’s record-high average of $64.05.
