Downtown Milwaukee could be one of the sites where expanding, fast-casual restaurant chain Sweetgreen Inc. adds a location.

A restaurant by the plant-focused business is proposed at 310 E. Buffalo St., in Milwaukee’s Third Ward neighborhood. The space previously housed Hudson Business Lounge, which closed in the spring of 2020.

The Sweetgreen (NYSE: SG) restaurant would fill about 2,800 square feet, according to a property listing by Mid-America Real Estate-Wisconsin LLC.

New business alert

A nail salon with alcohol is planned in Sacramento's Curtis Park neighborhood, according to an Instagram page for the business. Located at 2905 30th St., Moonshine & Co. will be “a nail bar with drinks and nail services” for customers 21 and older, it says. It's expected to open this spring.
