Happy Tuesday morning, Columbus.
Just after sunset on Sunday, I lit the first Hanukkah candle of 2018 and opened the shade in a dining room window to share the light with the neighborhood.
It had a bit of competition.
A couple of hours earlier, my wife and I uncoiled a mile of Christmas lights, hung them on the front of our house and powered them up as the sun set.
Talk about your mixed messages. Then again, it's one we've been crafting since we first married nearly 30 years ago.
