Happy Friday morning, Columbus.
I can't remember the first time I went to the Columbus Museum of Art. It probably was in elementary school on a field trip.
Although I had no concept of era or context, I remember marveling at the works displayed on the walls.
And I still do, although I have a much better understanding of when these works were made and the cultural forces that formed the artists' views.
If I had to pick a favorite, it would be George Bellows, who was born and raised in Columbus…
