Christiana Care ups its minimum wage to $15 per hour

Another health system in Greater Philadelphia announced Monday it is joining its peers in South Jersey and upping its minimum wage to $15 per hour.

Wilmington, Del.-based Christiana Care Health System said the pay rate change – which puts the hospital system ahead of state and federal minimum wage standards – will go into effect on Feb. 1.

Of its nearly 12,000 employees, about 500 current workers, many in clerical, technical or service roles, will be affected by the minimum wage increase.
