Cost-burdened: The $50,000 gap between Nashville’s wages and housing costs


A recent report from digital real estate giant Redfin showed the average Nashvillian would have to earn $124,000 to afford a home in the region, far more than the area's average wage. High interest rates and a delay in building new inventory are partially to blame for the high cost of homes.
