It appears The Diplomat Steakhouse, located near the State Capitol in downtown Sacramento, has closed.
A large lock was on the doors to the business at 1117 11th St. during the restaurant's regular hours on Tuesday. Phone calls to the business yielded no response, and the voicemail could not accept messages.
In July, The Sacramento Bee reported the steakhouse owed nearly $50,000 in rent, and could be evicted. The dispute is ongoing, Sacramento County Superior Court records show.
