The retirement of a longtime executive is leading to changes at San Mateo-based Essex Property Trust (NYSE: ESS).
Craig Zimmerman, the apartment developer's executive vice president and co-chief investment officer, will retire later this year, the company said on Thursday. Adam Berry, the co-chief investment officer, will continue in the role.
The company also named Senior Executive Vice President John Burkart as chief operating officer.
