While inflation increases seem to be softening in a lot of areas, one commodity continues to soar.
Over the last year, egg prices have increased 60%, according to the Consumer Price Index. The average price for a dozen large eggs is $4.25, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, CBS reports.
Eggs (along with poultry) have seen increases over the past year mostly because of outbreaks worldwide of avian flu.
