Food: McCormick redesigns its iconic red-capped spice bottles


McCormick & Co. Inc. is rethinking a core part of its brand. The Hunt Valley, Maryland spice maker announced yesterday that its red-capped herbs and spices bottles are getting a redesign.

The new bottles feature a "SnapTight" lid with product names and best-by dates printed on it, new label designs, a new bottling process designed to filter out excess air, and consist of 50% post-consumer recycled plastic as part of the company's environmental commitment.
