Former Aequitas chief financial officer pleads guilty to fraud charges


Former Aequitas Capital Chief Financial Officer Olaf Janke has pleaded guilty to criminal charges, including conspiring to commit mail and wire fraud and money laundering, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Monday.

Janke is the second former executive from the once high-flying firm to plead guilty to criminal charges. In April, the firm's longtime No. 2 executive, Brian Oliver, pleaded guilty to similar criminal charges.
