When Eileen and Sal Gentile bought their 7,000-square-foot Castle Rock home in 2014, they wanted a place to entertain friends and family. The built-in art studio was a bonus.
Eileen, a CPA by trade, discovered her passion for painting after moving in and decided to put the space to use. Now she’s preparing for an upcoming art show at Castle Rock’s Union Bistro starting Jan. 7.
Sal is the CEO of Friday Health Plans, designed to serve consumers who don’t receive health insurance from their employers.
The Gentiles, originally from New York and owners of a second home in Rhode Island, are preparing to move back to the East Coast to be closer to family.
In December, they put their five-bedroom, six-bath home on the 100 block of Equinox Drive on the market for $3 million.
Located in the gated Village at Castle Pines neighborhood, the home perches on a bluff and features floor-to-ceiling windows.
“With an elevated lot, the views are spectacular,” says listing agent Louie Lee with Coldwell Banker Realty 24.

The home provides an ideal option for multi-generational living with a primary and a guest suite on the main floor. It also offers a four-car garage and heated driveway.
Since purchasing the home for $1.9 million, the Gentiles added a pool with water fountains and stone flatwork, a custom in-ground 12-person grotto spa, and an eight-seat theater room.
Eileen says the location is ideal. As members of the Country Club at Castle Pines, the Gentiles could play golf and dine at the club without having to leave the neighborhood.
“We’ve loved living here,” she says. “But we’re ready to transition back to be closer to family.”
