Judge weighs release of more details of Purdue’s opioid marketing plan


A Massachusetts state judge could rule as soon as Monday on whether to make public behind-the-scenes details of Purdue Pharma’s opioid marketing campaign that are currently redacted in a state lawsuit against the company.

Those details are part of a 300-page lawsuit that Attorney General Maura Healey first filed against Purdue in June, which accused the company and 16 current and former executives of misleading doctors and patients about the risks of OxyContin, an opioid manufactured by Purdue.…
