Two electric chillers dangled high on a crane above Nationwide Arena Wednesday morning, as workers prepared for their descent into the maintenance room to stay there for good.
At a cost of nearly $1 million, Nationwide Arena is replacing its two 40,000-pound chillers, which keep the air cool and draw out humidity. Without them, the ice at the hockey arena would, well, melt.
