Kiosks, table service part of McDonald’s $251 million Ohio plans


Your local McDonald’s is getting a makeover.

The Oak Brook, Illinois-based fast food chain and its franchisees are investing $6 billion in updating its U.S. restaurants by 2020. The Ohio cut of that is $251 million that will go toward improvements at 380 McDonald’s Corp. restaurants in the state.

The upgrades coming include:

Modernized dining rooms with new furniture
Refreshed exterior designs
More self-order kiosks and table service
Remodeled counters
