Longtime community advocate donates $13M for an art center in Beaverton (Renderings)


In a way, the $13 million donation that Pat Reser made to the Beaverton Arts Foundation this morning for a new art center can be traced back more than six decades.

That’s when Reser and her then husband, Al Reser, the longtime president of Reser’s Fine Foods, began planning their life together as newlyweds. They decided back then that they would always give back to the communities in which they lived and worked.

“That was a seed we began back in 1956 or 1957,” Pat Reser said.
