Meta’s cutbacks are resulting in the layoff of 126 contract cafeteria workers at its HQ


Meta Platforms Inc. is cutting back on cafeteria operations at its Menlo Park headquarters complex, leading to the layoff of 126 workers.

The cuts affect staff at 12 of the company's buildings in the city, according to a letter sent to state employment officials Jan. 3 and made public Thursday. The affected cafeteria workers are all employed by Flagship Facility Services Inc., which provides maintenance, janitorial and food workers to other companies.
