New report details Hollywood’s economic impact in Cincinnati


A new study from the University of Cincinnati Economics Center shows the impact of Hollywood films made in the region.

According to the study, between fiscal years 2014 and 2018 the state of Ohio awarded $35.6 million in Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credits to 30 productions filmed in Greater Cincinnati that resulted in economic impact of $142 million. Those films created 1,054 jobs in that time that resulted in $30.7 million in earnings for local workers.
