The sale of an oceanfront home in Kailua for $14.8 million over the summer is the highest-priced home sale so far this year on Oahu —and possibly all of Hawaii, a sharp contrast to a year ago, when 10 homes selling for more than $15 million had closed by mid-September.
There were 27 single-family homes that sold for $10 million or more across the Islands in 2018, topped by the record-setting $46.1 million home on Kauai’s North Shore that set a new record for residential real estate in Hawaii.
