When Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in June signed a bill into law that will expand the state's Compassionate Use Program, he opened up a new era for medicinal cannabis in the state.
While the program originally applied only to Texans with intractable epilepsy, the expanded program serves patients with terminal cancer, autism, multiple sclerosis, ALS, seizures, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease.
