If you’ve survived a heart attack, exercising is likely to extend your life.
That’s according to a new Swedish study. In looking at activity levels of patients who’d had a heart attack, researchers found those who engaged in physical activity in the first 10 to 12 months after the event had much lower mortality rates than those who didn’t.
Death during the four-year study was 71 percent less likely for those who exercised during that entire year period than those who were sedentary.
