Portland nurse gets four years in prison for distributing opioids


A former Portland nurse practitioner will spend four years in prison for illegally distributing opioids.

Julie Ann DeMille, 60, will further face three years’ if supervised release for illegally distributing prescription opioids, filing a false tax return and lying to federal agents.

Billy J. Williams, U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon, said DeMille's actions "risked the lives of hundreds to turn a profit."
