A bill to nudge Oregon toward a single-payer-universal health care system not only is alive, but will be heard before a Ways and Means subcommittee this week, the bill’s sponsor said.
Sen. James Manning, a Democrat from Eugene, said Senate Bill 770 has been combined with House Bill 2012, which would set the stage for a Medicaid buy-in plan for Oregonians who make too much to qualify for the program.
