The Nicollet Mall location of Rojo Mexican Grill closed last week after less than a year in business.
It’s the latest effort by restaurateur Michael McDermott to exit the 921 Nicollet Mall storefront in downtown Minneapolis. Sports bar Randle’s ended a roughly two-year run in the space this spring after replacing another McDermott concept, Ling & Louie’s, which also lasted about two years.
