Starbucks shutters popular Country Club Plaza location that tried to unionize


The Starbucks location on Kansas City's Country Club Plaza has shut its doors.

Starbucks Corp. (Nasdaq: SBUX) posted a letter that the store at 302 Nichols Roads is permanently closed as of 3:30 p.m. Monday. The letter did not provide a reason for the closing.

FOX4 reached out to the Seattle-based coffeehouse chain and the managers of the 15-block shopping district, which is co-owned by Taubman Centers and The Macerich Co., for more information but has not heard back at this time.
