State parks in Western New York get $8 million for improvements


State officials have allocated another $2 million to continue deconstructing the Robert Moses Parkway.

The funding comes as part of a $110 million allocation to the NY Parks 2020 initiative included in the state budget, intended to revitalize state parks and support critical infrastructure projects. Since 2011, more than $1 billion has been invested in parks and historic sites across New York. This year will see projects at 47 sites.
