The Peanut Shoppe open again in downtown Columbus


A historic Columbus store is open again.

The Peanut Shoppe, which has been a downtown Columbus fixture since 1936, reopened its doors for walk-in business at 21 E. State St. last week.

Wife and husband Pat Stone and Mike Stone have owned the downtown nuts and candy store with its iconic neon Mr. Peanut sign since 1996. They've been working in the shop since 1972.
