A long-time Winans Chocolates and Coffees location has closed.
Winans franchise owner Ben Czajka said the Winans location at the Dayton Mall closed permanently May 21. Czajka said the closure was part of a decision to "consolidate" the store with the Piqua-based chain's other Centerville-area locations on Feedwire Road and Far Hills Avenue.
"It was more of a strategic move," he said, adding the Feedwire Road location, which opened a year ago, has been successful.
