While the biggest buzz around Apple Inc.'s U.S. expansion plans Thursday are around its plans for a $1 billion campus in north Austin, Texas, its home state is set to get some of the bounty too – just not Silicon Valley.
Early this morning, Cupertino-based Apple said it would invest in the large new Austin campus, as well as establish new sites in Seattle, San Diego and Culver City and expand in Pittsburgh, New York and Boulder, Colorado over the next three years.
