Southeastern Grocers received bankruptcy court approval Monday to proceed with its debt restructuring plans.
The Jacksonville-based grocer, which announced its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing on March 15, operates Winn-Dixie, Harveys, Bi-lo and Fresco y Mas banners throughout the southeast, including Central Florida.
The refinancing initiative includes lowering debt by about $600 million – including $522 million of debt exchanged for equity in the reorganized company – and closing 94 stores.…
