Woman gets 2-plus years for embezzling from Saint Luke’s Foundation


A Kansas City woman was sentenced in federal court Tuesday for embezzling nearly $547,000 from Saint Luke's Foundation, which employed her as an accountant for nearly 20 years.

Kathleen Frederico worked as the accounting and special projects manager at the foundation, a nonprofit that supports Saint Luke's Health System, from May 7, 1999, until she was fired Feb. 23, 2018.
