10 weeks after flood, Broken Bat Brewing reopens in 3rd Ward


Just 10 weeks after their livelihood nearly destroyed, Tim Pauly and Dan McElwee are just happy to be back on their feet.

On May 15, a pipe in their basement unit at 231 E. Buffalo St. burst, causing their brewery, Broken Bat Brewing Co., to undergo the effects of, as Pauly puts it, "three hours of unregulated steam."
